All of it built against one reason to quit

Food diaries get abandoned because logging lunch takes longer than eating it. Below is what removes that difference.

Voice, text and camera

There are three ways to log, and all three lead to the same field at the bottom of the screen. Speech is dictated straight into the field, so you see what was heard before you send it and can fix it. Languages can be mixed: "ate two eggs and a coffee" is parsed the same way as an ordinary sentence in one language.

  • One sentence can hold several dishes and several days
  • The meal card is chosen by time: "this morning" means breakfast
  • Logged without a weight, it takes your usual portion instead of asking for grams

A photo of the plate or the label

A shot comes back as a dish name, an estimated portion, and an explanation of where the number came from. A label with ingredients goes down a separate path: there the numbers are not estimated, they are read off the packaging.

  • The photo is not stored on the server: it is needed only while the analysis runs
  • The estimate can be corrected in words, without rewriting the entry

Barcodes

A scan looks for the product in our database first, then in the open Open Food Facts database. What is found gets saved, so the next identical scan is instant and free for anyone.

  • Exact numbers from the packaging rather than an estimate
  • A severe allergen in the ingredients is marked separately

Dishes, not just barcodes

Cooked food has a reference layer of its own rather than a single entry called "soup". Two fillings are two separate rows with different numbers. Every dish knows its usual portion, so "a bowl of soup" becomes three hundred grams straight away.

  • Canonical names keep the number steady from one day to the next
  • The reference grows from what people log, not from a single catalogue

Allergies and medication

Allergens are picked from a reference and carry a severity. A severe allergen does not block the entry, but it does not go unnoticed either. The medication log keeps injections and scheduled doses, with no arithmetic over dosage whatsoever.

  • The check runs on the allergen code in the ingredients, not on a model opinion

The week, not the day

Weight, target, deficit, workouts and water come together into one picture by week and by month. A single day means almost nothing, and the app does not hide that.

  • The daily target is worked out by a formula on the server, not by a model
