Calvi is not a medical device

The app keeps a record and counts calories with protein, fat and carbohydrates. It does not diagnose, does not prescribe diets, does not adjust treatment, and does not replace a doctor or a dietitian.

Allergies

An allergen mark is a hint, not a guarantee. It is built from the ingredients on the packaging or in a reference, and those can be incomplete, changed by the maker, or cross-contaminated in production. With a severe allergy, the packaging itself remains the final word.

Medication and injections

The log records the fact and the time, and nothing else. We deliberately do not calculate doses and never suggest them: a mistake in that arithmetic costs far too much to trust to an app.

When to see a doctor

Sudden weight loss or gain, dietary limits with a chronic condition, pregnancy, disordered eating: in every one of these the plan belongs to someone with the training for it, and the app can only keep the records.
